Advisory notice for BT Broadband customers

Statement of intent:

We will not monitor your Broadband connection with the intention to be able to use that data for marketing purposes.  There are many other Broadband providers and Broadband users who feel the same way.

Many thousands of Broadband users (not with us) should expect to be invited to have their connection watched from today in a trial.  Should the trial be successfui it is expected that over 70% of Broadband connections will be subject to the deepest monitoring yet of your Internet activity.

Phorm [4] is the company that has offered their services which tracks all of your activity on your Internet connection.  Their product is called Webwise and is being marketed by BT as an anti-fraud device!  Phorm has been in talks with BT Broadband, TalkTalk and Virgin media but as far as we can tell only BT are actively engaged with Phorm.

Join the Anti Phorm League. Sign the Government Petition (over 18,000 have signed so far)
